The form of this chair came from an exploration of marriage between wood and metal : how to combine these two traditionally chairmaking materials into an exciting and new way. With one piece of metal frame goes through the back of chair, the back is being pushed forward slightly to follow the ergonomics of human body as well as creating a visually stimulating detail. Metal tubings that going across the chair are wielded with steel rods at each end, which are then tapped for a strong screw connection. Machine screws are used at each end to ensure the same form language for the frame.
Materials: maple veneer, steel tubing and rods, machine screws.
